Juried exhibit, "Collage Collective: An Exhibition of the Atlanta Collage Society," includes two new collages by Susan K. Friedland
Two new collages by Susan K. Friedland are currently on exhibit in The Atlanta Collage Society's juried show, titled, "Collage Collective," at the Cherokee Arts Center in Canton, Georgia.
"Each According To The Dictates Of His Own Conscience," depicts what freedom means in America, and includes copies of a Norman Rockwell print of the same name, a rendering of General George Washington crossing the Delaware, the Liberty Bell, the Statue of Liberty, an original photo of the Iwo Jima Memorial: US Marine Corps Memorial in Washington, D.C., and rifle shell casings. The 11" X 14" collage is mounted on canvas with a finished edge and mounting hardware. "Hay Day 2" depicts horses grazing in a field, yet they are not free to roam wherever they choose, featuring an original equine photo with found wire mesh. The 22.5" X 18" collage is custom black suede matted and framed. Both are for sale and ready to hang in your home or office.
The exhibit runs from June 7-25, 2019, Tuesday-Friday 11am to 5 pm, and Saturday 12pm to 5 pm, at the Cherokee Arts Center, 94 North Street, Canton, Georgia 30114.
